The Shimano 105 BB-5500 is a sealed-cartridge bottom bracket for Octalink V1 splined road cranks, fitting 68 mm English-threaded shells with a 109.5 mm spindle for doubles or 118.5 mm for triples. It suits riders keeping older Shimano road bikes with FC-5500, FC-6500, or FC-7700 cranks running on fresh bearings.
