Park Tool TLR-1/TLR-2
The Park Tool TLR-1 and TLR-2 are 10ml threadlockers — blue medium-strength and red high-strength — that work on steel, aluminum, and carbon fasteners and tolerate oil, though they are not recommended for titanium. They suit mechanics securing rotor bolts, cleat hardware, and other fasteners that must not rattle loose; prep surfaces with Park Tool AP-1 primer first to avoid permanently bonded parts.
- TLR-1 competes with Loctite 242/243
- TLR-2 competes with Loctite 262/263
- Compatible with steel, aluminum, and carbon
- Oil tolerant
- Not recommended for titanium fasteners
- Park Tool AP-1 Adhesive Primer must be used to prep all components, fasteners, and carbon surfaces prior to application, failure to do so could result in permanently bonded parts.
