The Shimano XTR RD-M9100 is Shimano's flagship mountain bike rear derailleur, with Hyperglide+ shifting, a low-profile Shadow Plus design, larger 13T sealed-bearing pulleys and reduced chain tension in low gears; the SGS cage covers 12-speed 10-51T cassettes while the GS handles 10-45T. It is for XC and trail riders building or upgrading to a top-level 12-speed drivetrain.
