The Shimano Ultegra RD-R8000 is an 11-speed road rear derailleur with Shimano's low-profile Shadow construction, which tucks the derailleur under the cassette and out of harm's way in a crash. It suits road riders building or repairing an Ultegra R8000 drivetrain — the SS cage covers 11-25 to 11-30 cassettes, the GS cage 11-28 to 11-34 for wider climbing gears.
