After twenty years of building e-bikes for Canadian conditions, we're introducing something new. Meet the OHM Discover — our first model powered by Bosch Smart System technology, shipping April 2026.
This isn't just a component swap. The Discover represents a fundamental rethinking of what an urban utility e-bike should be: smarter, more connected, and built for riders who use their bikes as real transportation.

Why Bosch, Why Now
We've watched the Bosch Smart System evolve over several years, waiting until it delivered everything we needed for our riders. The current generation finally does.
The Active Line Plus motor delivers 600W peak power with 50Nm of torque — enough to flatten Vancouver's hills without feeling like you're riding a motorcycle. It's smooth, quiet, and refined in a way that makes the bike feel like an extension of your own effort rather than a machine doing the work for you.
But the motor is only part of the story. What makes Bosch Smart System compelling is everything that comes with it: over-the-air firmware updates, customizable riding modes through the eBike Flow app, integrated navigation, and theft protection. Your bike gets better over time, not obsolete.
Designed for Real Utility
The Discover started with a simple question: what do our riders actually carry?
The answer shaped everything. We integrated a rear carrier directly into the frame — not bolted on as an afterthought, but engineered as a structural element. It's Racktime Snap-it 2.0 compatible with a 27kg capacity. Add the optional front carrier (10kg capacity) and you've got a bike that can handle a serious grocery run or a week's worth of commuting gear.
The reinforced low step-thru frame makes mounting easy regardless of what you're wearing or carrying. We've seen too many riders struggle with traditional frames when they're loaded down with bags or dressed for the office. The Discover eliminates that friction.
Flexible Power
One of the smartest decisions Bosch made with their external battery system was the universal mount. The Discover ships with a 400Wh PowerPack, but you can upgrade to 545Wh or 800Wh batteries that swap in seconds.
Going light for a quick errand? Use the 400Wh. Planning a longer adventure? Click in the 800Wh. The carrying handle on each battery makes this practical rather than theoretical — you can actually carry a spare into your office to charge.
This flexibility means you're not paying for range you don't need on most rides, but you have it available when you do.
Two Configurations
We're launching the Discover in two versions:
The Discover Lite ($3,699 CAD) uses a lightweight hydroformed tapered fork that maximizes efficiency and handling responsiveness. It's the purist's choice — lighter, more direct, and ideal for riders on well-maintained urban infrastructure.
The Discover ($3,799 CAD) adds a Suntour front suspension fork with 63mm of travel. If your commute includes rougher pavement, construction zones, or the occasional gravel path, the added comfort is worth the slight weight penalty.
Both share the same Shimano CUES 9-speed drivetrain, hydraulic disc brakes, Schwalbe tires, and integrated lighting system. Both are available in three sizes (S, M, L) with comfort-oriented geometry that puts you in an upright, confident riding position.
Connected, Not Complicated
The Bosch Smart System includes smartphone connectivity, but we've been careful about how we've implemented it. The LED Remote on the handlebar gives you everything you need for daily riding without pulling out your phone. Pair the eBike Flow app when you want to customize riding modes, check detailed battery status, or use navigation — but the bike works perfectly without it.
This matters because technology should reduce friction, not add it. You should be able to hop on the Discover and ride without setup, configuration, or troubleshooting. The smart features are there when you want them, invisible when you don't.
What This Means for OHM
The Discover is our entry point into the Bosch ecosystem, but it won't be our last. We're building on twenty years of understanding what Canadian riders need: bikes that work in rain, handle hills, carry cargo, and last for years with proper support.
Bosch shares that long-term thinking. Their commitment to parts availability and backward compatibility aligns with how we've always operated. When you buy a Discover, you're buying into a platform that will be supported and improved for years to come.
