Journey Questions

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

Can I upgrade the motor later?

Motor can't be swapped, but we offer 80% trade-in credit first year toward EP6 model if you want to upgrade.

Is EP5 motor enough for hills?

Yes! EP5 handles all local hills including Cypress Lookout. EP6 just makes them easier, especially with cargo or camping gear.

What's the real-world range difference?
  • 531Wh: 100-120km typical in Vancouver conditions
  • 708Wh: 130-150km typical

*Weather, terrain, and rider weight affect both.
Is 120km range really enough?

Most riders do 30-50km per adventure. 120km means all-day capability with plenty of reserve. That's Vancouver to Squamish and back.

Why not just get Journey PRO?

PRO is $1400 more with features many don't need (expedition geometry, premium components). Journey EP6 motor = similar power to PRO for less money.
